Flamenco Show in Seville at Real Alcazar

The flamenco singing, guitar and dancing of El Palacio Andaluz have been present at two events of international relevance, which have recently been held in Seville. At the request of the City Council, part of our cast of artists offered a live flamenco show to the attendees of these meetings that took place in the Andalusian capital.

The first welcomed the members of the forum on Environment and Sustainable Development, organized by the UN, who were able to enjoy a sample of the best flamenco in Seville in an unbeatable setting, such as the one given by the Real Alcázar.

The other event also took place in this Sevillian monument and gathered attendees to the Assembly of Regions and Mediterranean Cities (ARLEM). On this occasion, more than 200 people from different countries contemplated the flamenco performance performed by our cast of artists.

In both events, participated the dancers Emilio Ramírez ‘El Duende’, Antonio Vázquez, Soledad de José and María Rizou; the flamenco singer Farina; and the guitarist José Carlos Salgado. Our artists squandered their art and offered a show inspired by the usual show that is celebrated every day our flamenco tablao, but adapted and designed for this special occasion.

The most traditional flamenco styles

The 15-minute performance included a tour of some of the most pure and traditional flamenco styles such as bulerías, alegrías and soleá by bulerías. An exhibition of dance, singing and guitar that allowed attendees to get closer and enjoy flamenco in an incomparable setting like the one that represents this Sevillian monument.

For El Palacio Andaluz, it is a great satisfaction to be required to participate in appointments of this magnitude, because it also means recognition of the work that has been carried out for years in favor of the dissemination and preservation of this artistic expression.

Let us remember that El Palacio Andaluz celebrates flamenco shows that attract hundreds of tourists every day, from different countries of the world, who when they travel to Seville include a visit to our flamenco tablao in their cultural leisure plan.

In addition, our building has an exhibition space that houses “The Museum of Flamenco and Andalusian Art” of Seville, a visit that is totally free for those attending the flamenco show in any of its modalities.

This work to keep alive the authentic spirit of flamenco consolidates us as one of the fundamental pillars of leisure in the Andalusian capital and positions us as a reference for flamenco in the city of Seville, which is why institutions such as Turismo de Sevilla, request the collaboration of our artists for events of this magnitude.
